Description
Hydrosols, also known as Hydrolats or Floral Waters, are normally produced during the distillation of essential oils. The plant matter is distilled with water and steam and the distillate is then simply separated into an oil fraction - the essential oil, and a water fraction - the hydrosol.
The hydrosol contains water-soluble compounds found in the plant along with a minute amount of residual essential oil left over from the separation process. Being a good source of nutrients for microbial growth, all PureNature Hydrosols come pre-preserved to ensure shelf stability.
German Chamomile Hydrosol results from the distillation of German Chamomile Essential Oil. This is a 100% pure and natural, non-alcoholic distillate preserved with Gluconolactone and Sodium Benzoate.
Chamomile German Hydrosol has its own unique qualities directly related to the properties of German Chamomile Herb and Essential Oil. It is considered to be anti-inflammatory and calming.
