A make your own natural toilet cleaner gel recipe just like store-bought only cheaper and with your choice of scent!

Ingredients

Makes 500gm

410g	82%	Water
35g	7%	Coco Glucoside
25g	5%	Citric Acid
5g	1%	Xanthan Gum
15g	3%	Glycerine
5g	1%	Microcare DB
2.5g	0.5%	Lavender Essential Oil
2.5g	0.5%	Eucalyptus Essential Oil

Old toilet cleaner bottle

Method

Weigh out the water and citric acid and stir until dissolved.
Weigh out the essential oils and coco glucoside mix these together and add to the water/citric acid, stir well but gently, try not to make too many bubbles.
Weigh out the glycerine in a small beaker add the xanthan gum, mix well.
Now while whisking add the xanthan gum slurry to the water in a very slow stream, don’t stop whisking. Add the Microcare DB and stir well. Cover and wait until bubbles settle.
Bottle up and ready to go!

Note: Xanthan Gum requires a little bit of technique to work with – don't skip the glycerine step, and make sure you have a continuous slow stream going whilst whisking at the same time. If you havn’t worked with xanthan before, have a go making up a fifth of the recipe (100g) until you get the technique right. If it’s a big lumpy you can still use it.

You could also not use xanthan gum and then put it in a spray bottle instead.

Suggested Alternatives: You can customise by choosing your favourite essential oil.
