A healing and protecting balm for your doggie, to help repair and prevent minor irritations on the paws and skin.

Ingredients

Makes 100g (approx. 2 pots)

100g	%	Ingredient
43.8gm	43.8%	Sunflower Oil
10gm	10%	Coconut Oil
30gm	30%	Hemp Seed Oil
1gm	1%	Neem (optional)
15gm	15%	Beeswax
0.05g (2 drop)	0.1%	Manuka Essential Oil
0.1gm	0.1%	Vit e, Mixed Tocopherol

Equipment

Glass pyrex or stainless stell jug/bowl

Saucepan that will fit bowl on top

Spatula or spoon

Digital Scales that go down to 1g

Aluminium or glass pot

Method

Place all ingredients apart from Essential Oil and Vitamin E into a double boiler and melt until liquid.
Remove from the heat
When liquid has cooled but still liquid enough to pour (around 45°C), add the Essential Oil and Vitamin E. Stir thoroughly to blend.
Pour into your aluminum/glass pot and let set. Once it is cool you can pop the lid on and it’s ready to use.

Notes: Neem is optional, but great for nastier irritations like hot spots.

Double Boiler
Half fill a saucepan with water, bring to the boil and reduce to a gentle simmer.
Place the ingredients into a pouring pitcher, tempered glass or stainless steel jug small enough to fit inside the saucepan and best if the handle goes over the outside of the pot. Carefully place the bowl onto the simmering water.
