Description
A sweet, citrus-y fragrance featuring tangy grapefruit and exotic mangosteen. You'll notice grapefruit dominates with a swift punch on first opening the bottle - but once in wax, this gives way to warm, sweet mangosteen. A strong fruity fragrance with a hint of peach is delivered by the burning candle.
Cold Process Soap Performance
Acceleration | Discolouration | Separation | Oil Temp | Lye Water Temp |
Slight | Light Tan | Slight | 42ºC | 41ºC |
We experienced slight acceleration and slight separation. Initially, only part of the oils seemed to emulsify. However, once it seemed the entire batch emulsified, we still saw separation of oils and water when we stopped blending. The batch fully emulsified at a medium trace. The batter was fluid at this point, but it started to stiffen as we poured the soap into the mold. After 24 hours, we observed the soap had almost reached a full gel and the scent was strong. After the cut, we noticed several glycerine rivers and the soap was weepy. After 30 days the soap had discolored to a light tan and the scent remained strong.
This fragrance may be easier to work with if added at a very light trace and hand stirred in just before pouring into the mold. A simple layer design that requires a thick trace would be ideal.
