Description

Please note: this is a different product to Indigo Leaf Powder

The indigo plant has a long history of use as a natural dye for hair and textiles. Indigo leaves contain a substance called Indigotin which has a deep blue colour.

However, the leaves must be processed in order to extract this pigment. Indigo Dye Powder has been pre-processed and concentrated to contain 31% Indigotin.

This product can be used in cold process soapmaking to give a denim blue colour, in fact, Indigo was the original dye used to colour denim.  We have seen good results using around half a tablespoon in lye for 500g  of oils. However, we encourage you to experiment yourself and share your results in the reviews below.

This product is for external use only.
