Traditionally, lemon balm was used as a pleasant and cooling tea for feverish patients with catarrh and influenza, and was believed to treat all complaints arising from a disordered state of the nervous system.
Lemon balm is also frequently used as one of the ingredients in potpourri due to its sweet, lemon scent.
Lemon balm makes an excellent tea with a pleasant lemony taste that helps soothe indigestion, inflammation and to calm the nerves.
