Description
Hydrosols, also known as Hydrolats or Floral Waters, are normally produced during the distillation of essential oils. The plant matter is distilled with water and steam and the distillate is then simply separated into an oil fraction - the essential oil, and a water fraction - the hydrosol.
Neroli Hydrosol results from the distillation of Neroli Essential Oil and contains water-soluble compounds found in the plant along with a minute amount of residual essential oil left over from the separation process. This makes it a good source of nutrients for microbial growth, and so it is preserved with Gluconolactone and Sodium Benzoate.
Neroli Hydrosol has its own unique qualities directly related to the properties of the Bitter Orange Flower and Neroli Essential Oil. It is light, refreshing, cooling and soothing. Ideal for use in summer spritzes, gels or washes.
