Description
Peppermint tea is one of the most widely consumed herbal teas. Its carminative properties make it beneficial for relieving indigestion and inflammatory disorders of the gut, such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome. The menthol in peppermint helps relax the lower esophageal sphincter (also known as the cardiac sphincter) to release pressure from the stomach, as well as relax the muscles of the intestines.
Peppermint is also known to be excellent for mental fatigue, stimulating mental agility, and improving concentration. It can help with headaches, migraines, and general respiratory disorders.
