Description
This beautiful new essential oil is sustainably sourced from the sub-tropical rainforest in the Northern Rivers Hinterland of New South Wales.
Australian Rosewood is a large, long-lived and slow-growing tree native to New South Wales and Queensland, Australia.
It gets its name from the pleasant rose fragrance emitted from the freshly cut bark.
This oil is extracted from aged timber that has either fallen naturally or has been left from bygone days of logging in the region - no living trees are destroyed to create this oil.
This unique timber does not decompose like others so it may not be surprising to learn that the essential oil contains antimicrobial compounds.
When distilled it delivers a stunning blue oil, this is attributed to the natural compound guaiazulene present in the oil.
Australian Rosewood Essential oil has a beautiful unique woody floral scent, reminiscent of Sandalwood.
