Description
Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSA) is a mild anionic surfactant, perfect for use in powdered bubble baths, shampoos, cleansing creams and bath bombs due to its excellent foam and viscosity building properties. It makes a great alternative to soap where sensitivity is a concern. It is sulphate free.
SLSA is naturally derived from palm and coconut oils and offers rich lather without the irritation potential of some other foam building surfactants. Due to its large molecular size it will not penetrate the skin, or the mucous membranes, so it will not cause the skin irritation like other sulfates, making it an excellent choice for soaks, facial cleansers and any other gentle cleansing systems.
Non irritating to the skin up to 70%, non irritating to the eyes up to 3%
Add to water phase with gentle agitation - stable in hard water.
0.5 - 3% in skin care applications, baby products and pet products
2.0 - 10% in body washes, soaks, shampoos
